Early Termination of Supervision

In appropriate cases, the Court may terminate supervision early. A client must have completed at least one year of supervision to be eligible for early termination.  Clients are encouraged to discuss the possibility of early termination with their Probation Officers.

Candidates for early termination of supervision are typically those individuals who have been compliant with the conditions of supervision and who have made significant progress towards their reentry goals.  Other factors will also be considered, such as voluntarily making restitution, educational or vocational achievements, and significant reduction of risk to the community.

Individuals who have been convicted of violent crimes, sex offenses, terrorism, or who have been found to be career drug offenders are not eligible for early termination of supervision.
